The National Black MBA Association, Inc., is a non-profit organization of minority MBAs, business professionals, entrepreneurs and MBA students.  With close to 8,000 members working in both private and public sectors throughout the country, we share a commitment to education and business–the two principal keys to the economic development of the African-American community.

The Pittsburgh Chapter

The chapter was recognized by our National Association as “Chapter of the Year” in 2011 for outstanding growth in membership, partnerships, funding, and programming.  The chapter also took home Chapter Programming of the Year in 2014 for our signature programming and events such as our Coffee Talk Series, Brunch and Learn, Cocktails and Connections, and our Scholarship and Recognition Gala

The chapter is committed to:

Career and Professional development: Delivering a comprehensive range of professional development programs geared toward meeting the needs of our members.

Cultivating partnerships with local businesses: Local businesses have the opportunity to increase their visibility to our member by contributing to the chapter financially, by sponsoring an event, or by providing meeting space.  In return, the chapter assists them with their efforts to recruit a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Community service: The Pittsburgh Chapter is firmly committed to developing our youth through the Leaders of Tomorrow® Program.  In addition, the chapter provides volunteer and hosts community events throughout the Pittsburgh region
