Mission Statement
The National Black MBA Association, Inc., is a non-profit
organization of minority MBAs, business professionals, entrepreneurs
and MBA students. With close to 8,000 members working in both
private and public sectors throughout the country, we share a
commitment to education and business--the two principal keys to the
economic development of the African-American community.
President's
Message
Welcome to the
Pittsburgh Chapter – 2011 Chapter of the Year Recipient.
It is my pleasure to serve as president of this outstanding
chapter. We believe in empowering our
members by providing programs that stimulates intellectual and economic
growth. We are committed to building strong
collaborative relationships with our partners and appreciate their ongoing support.
We provide access to business, career, networking and
educational opportunities allowing you to make the connections that will assist
you with achieving your goals.
We believe it is
important to support the community we serve by volunteering, providing
scholarships, and mentoring students.
Last year we awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to
undergraduate and graduate students.
Our membership is also thriving. Currently, we have over 350 members that are
comprised of students and professionals from diverse industries ranging from
accounting, technology, education, insurance, and banking & investment
services.
Our goal is to continue to grow our membership, collaborate
with our partners, and provide opportunities for our members. Please continue to support our initiatives
and we welcome you to become involved with the National Black MBA Association.
