Responsibilities Summary
|
|
| Provide
consultation and analytical expertise in the development
and support of various projects and data analysis of a
complex nature. Consultation and analysis would include:
health care cost and utilization trends, clinical and
condition management analyses, health care cost
containment, quality measurement, predictive modeling and
general research and decision support activities. Specific
duties will include, but are not limited to, analysis of
clinically oriented medical management efforts, both
internal and in cooperation with external vendors, as well
as the development and evaluation of the methodological
design and success of clinical initiatives and programs.
Strong understanding of the terminology, techniques, and
reimbursement mechanisms employed in the delivery of
healthcare is necessary. Under little or no supervision,
the position is responsible for gathering initial,
updated, and final requirements for projects, preliminary
analytic design, programming, testing, interpretation,
presentation, and recommendations based upon results. A
background in quantitative analysis, data mining and
statistics is essential. Incumbent may be required to
assume a project management role, fully accountable for
the results, quality and timing of the respective project,
while mentoring lower-level analysts through all stages of
project design and analysis. (2 Positions available)

| Required
Qualifications
|
|
| Bachelors
degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or
Operations Research or a similar applied analytical field
of study.
OR
At least Eight (8) years work experience in a business
environment with responsibility for statistical analysis
and process optimization in the solution of business
operations problems.

| Preferred
Qualifications
|
|
| Masters
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or
Operations Research or similar applied analytical field of
study.
Demonstrated extensive experience in statistical modeling.
Experience in constructing predictive models in
operations.
Demonstrated strong programming skills, with an emphasis
on the utilization and proficiency in SAS and SQL, or
comparable 4GL programming language, in querying
relational databases.
Experience in performing statistical design, statistical
coding, model validation, data mining and process
optimization in support of business requirements.
Demonstrated ability to produce both ad hoc analyses and
production-grade analytic jobs that execute autonomously.
Comprehensive understanding of quantitative methods and
extreme attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to perform multiple complex tasks as
directed.
