Gene Harris, principal of Harris Consulting, has over thirty years of experience in human resources, including executive coaching, training and development, personnel, labor relations, and organization development. In his last position at U.S. Steel Corporation, he was Director of Human Resource Development. In that capacity he was responsible for corporate executive, management and leadership development programs nation-wide. 

 

He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (B.A.), the University of Pittsburgh (M.P.A.) and the Duquesne University (J.D.).

Gene is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Manchester Youth Development Corporation and a board member of the George Jr. Republic, the Urban League of Pittsburgh, the Extra Mile Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America. He was recognized in the Personnel Journal magazine for creating an award-winning environmental training program for managers and workers and was a contributing writer in the book People, Progress and Employee Relations.
